This is an example of a post with a cover photo. This type of post header takes over 100% of the initial viewport.

That’s quite a statement! As they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words”. Cover photos are perfect for long-form blogging and portfolio pages.

Like banners, cover photos can either use one large image, a repeating pattern, or a single background colour. You can also alter the text colour and opt for a custom sub-title instead of the post date.

For something less fancy, you can’t go wrong with a typographic header.
